1839. Cherokee Territory. Southern Appalachia. During the final cruel days of the Indian Removal Act, a small group of misfits are trapped and surrounded by an evil ravenous creature of Cherokee folklore. Keith Harris (AMC’s The Walking Dead), and Bill Oberst Jr. (3 From Hell), Bloodspawn is a fun-filled classic folk horror popcorn movie with a unique retro look, style, and soundtrack. Buttered and seasoned with a healthy dose of old-school practical puppet effects rather than just all modern CGI elements, Bloodspawn plays as a nostalgic campy grindhouse-style homage to the creature features of the 1980s.
